Having spent the earlier portion of the week in Michigan and the Carolinas, I find myself back in my Ft. Lauderdale office. In looking back at the week and the various meetings I had, I’m reminded of the critical need for proper education on the subject of financial instruments. When speaking with those that work directly in the financial services industries and the clients they serve, it never ceases to amaze that the decision-making process is often based on a set of misunderstood facts. Meaning, people continue to make a decision on what they think something is and not what they know it is. I would venture a very strong guess, that once more properly informed, clients and advisors may make very different choices.
