Minister Chagger announces Youth Can Do It!’s 25 young entrepreneurs who have been selected from across the country

OTTAWA, June 5, 2018 /CNW/ – Canada’s future economic growth begins with the fresh ideas of today’s passionate young Canadians.

Today at Futurpreneur Canada’s Parliament Hill reception, the Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, announced the names of 25 young Canadian entrepreneurs who have been selected to be part of the Government’s Youth Can Do It! event in Ottawa from June 10 to 12, 2018.

Announced on February 14, Youth Can Do It! is a national event that shines a light on the great entrepreneurial journeys of ambitious young Canadians between the ages of 18 and 24 and demonstrates how the Government is encouraging small business development in this generation of young entrepreneurs.

Over the course of three days, experienced business leaders will create and foster mentor/mentee relationships with these 25 young entrepreneurs and teach them practical business and networking skills. The goal is for established entrepreneurs to demonstrate their leadership and offer tangible business advice that these young people will need as they establish a business network and launch and grow their businesses.

The complete list of 25 selected young entrepreneurs is available on the Youth Can Do It! website.

For more than 20 years, Futurpreneur Canada has been supporting the entrepreneurial aspirations of young Canadians and helping them establish their businesses. By providing access to financing and mentorship, Futurpreneur Canada gives these businesses the best opportunity to succeed.

“From local pioneers to social innovators, these savvy young businesspeople are sparking social change and making a difference in their communities through their inspiring ideas.
